Going along with what I so eloquently stated yesterday, we are experiencing below normal temperatures (surprise, surprise) on this Tuesday of orientation week. Today will be cool and muggy. The stalled frontal boundary to our south that is giving us our unsettled weather will gradually be pushed out by a high that is coming in southward from Canada. The transition period from these cooler temperatures into normal late August temperatures starts to take place on Wednesday, as temperatures will creep up into the 70s. The typical late-August temperatures and humidity return on Thursday just in time for day one of classes, and will continue throughout the weekend so that you can take full advantage of Cornell’s gorges and Cayuga Lake. For those who hate these hot and humid conditions, it could be worse — you could be in the Yucutan experiencing Hurricane Dean.
