Men's basketball 68, Penn 48

The men's basketball team had its revenge Saturday, downing Penn 68-48 on Senior Night at Newman Arena. With the win, Cornell moves to 25-4 on the season, but more importantly clinches at least a share of the Ivy League title. Due to both Harvard and Princeton also securing comfortable victories, the Red must wait until next weekend against Brown and Yale to clinch the title outright.

After only scoring three points in the first half, senior forward Ryan Wittman notched 15 of his team-leading 18 points in the second frame on 7-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Wittman also had six steals and contributed four assists.Talk about getting physical: Penn forward Jack Eggleston (24) collides with senior center Jeff Foote (1), who had four points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in the Red's 68-48 revenge win over the Quakers. - By: Tina Chou Fellow senior Louis Dale was close behind with 16 points and five assists. Rounding out the Red's double figure scorers was sophomore guard Chris Wroblewski with 13 points, including 3-of-6 from downtown.

Cornell shot 56 percent for the game, while holding Penn to 39.5 percent overall and 5-of-17 from 3-point range. Despite getting into early foul trouble, sophomore guard Zack Rosen managed a game-leading 23 points and was 4-of-6 from outside.

The result marked a fitting goodbye for the Red's eight seniors –– honored in a pregame ceremony –– with Andre Wilkins scoring four of his team's first seven points.
