But “le coup,” as Petit calls the event, marks only one chapter in a lifetime of performance, expression and mystery. I never pictured myself snuggled in bed, talking to two musicians on a rainy day in Ithaca. And yet, that pretty much explains last Tuesday afternoon for me. Now, if you factor in a skype conference call and the fact that said musicians were nowhere near Ithaca, it makes things decidedly less racey. And yet, now I have your attention. Here is my little chat with Jerry DePizzo from O.A.R. and Seth Winters, who will be playing at Castaways on Dec. 2.

Michael Miller ’74, graduated Cornell aand went on to an extraordinary career in film editing.
