Local produce, jams and cheeses adorned tables in Mann lobby on Nov. 18 for the second annual Food and Fiber Fair.  The event attracted local farmers and activists.

A delegation of Cornell researchers will join the fight against climate change Monday in the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cancun, Mexico. 

The Cornell Dump and Run program raised more than $41,000 during its sale this fall, a $3,500 increase over last year. Students and staff who organized the sale presented $33,500 in donations on Oct. 15 to five local charities that helped organize the program.

In recent weeks, the University has bolstered its reputation as an institution committed to a sustainable future.

In recognition of ongoing University efforts to promote sustainability, Cornell was one of 12 colleges and universities to receive Second Nature’s Award for Institutional Excellence in Climate Leadership.

Prof. Kelly Zamudio, ecology, is leading a team of researchers in the observation of a tropical tree frog. 

Four experts in environmental sustainability and economic development participated in a panel titled “Creating Sustainable Futures for All: Challenges and Opportunities for the World” on Thursday in Statler Auditorium.

The gift is the largest individual donation to a university for sustainability research.

On Oct. 14 and 15, students from the major sustainable groups on campus convened for an international, Global Work Party Day. The goal of the event was to inspire action against climate change.

Several student groups gathered on Ho Plaza on Wednesday to celebrate National Campus Sustainability Day and highlight several of their more recent initiatives.
