Faculty Criticize New Calendar Plan

At Wednesday’s Faculty Senate meeting, professors slammed the Calendar Committee’s latest proposal to revise the academic calendar, saying the changes could prove detrimental to both the quality of students’ academic experiences and their mental health.

At a forum on Tuesday, candidates running for the Student Assembly positions of president, executive vice president, undesignated, international, LGBTQ, minority and women’s issues at-large representatives told their peers what they would do to work on student health, safety and diversity issues. Only candidates running for positions voted on by the entire student body participated.

Student Assembly Reduces Size Of Its Own Budget Amid Cuts to Organizations

After a tight budget forced the Student Assembly  to deny several student organizations’ requests for increased funding, the S.A. cut its own budget by 10.2 percent. The decision will allow the S.A. to alleviate some of the funding shortfall other organizations face for the next year.
